So much is happening at Les Cheneaux Community Library this summer. This year the library is participating in the 2019 Summer Reading Program “A Universe of Stories” We will also be introducing Wandoo Reader, an interactive program to log our reading for the summer programs.

The summer reading program starts June 15 and goes through August 17th.  You can join us at any time – even if you miss the start, don’t worry, you can still register and participate!

This program is designed for children of all ages. Pre-readers can count the minutes read to, while readers just count the minutes they read.

Participants can sign-up by choosing A Universe of Stories found under the “events/summer program” tab on https://www.flccl.org.  Once at the Wandoo site, choose "join here" then fill out the appropriate information including choosing a username and password to access their account. Parents can register children using the Family Management Portal.

Kids under 16 will be eligible for prizes every time they check out library material during the course of the program.

Wandoo Reader for Kids has a fun interface to help encourage children to complete challenges to earn prizes. In addition, as they log their reading minutes participants earn points to modify their adventure character. Wandoo Reader makes it easy for students to keep track of their books and the time spent reading.

In addition to the reading challenges, Friends of Les Cheneaux Library sponsor many programs throughout the summer. Be sure to follow us on our website https://www.flccl.org, and on Facebook at Les Cheneaux Community Library and don't forget to check us out on Instagram @flccl.

Summer Reading programs are free and open to all.
